As part of the ABOUT YOU FINANCE division, the accounting team takes care of the accounting of all business transactions in accordance with HGB (German Gaap) and IFRS. This provides the data basis for internal and external reporting. Another area of responsibility is financial accounting, including accounts receivable and accounts payable management. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the digitalization and continuous development of accounting processes.
As our new Senior Accountant (m/f/d) in our Payment Unit you will be responsible for the processing of business transactions related to payment operations and financial accounting, as well as the further development of the underlying business transactions and work together with a young and committed team.
Responsibilities
Actively participate in Order-to-Cash process to ensure compliant processes and accurate financial bookings for incoming and outgoing payments
- Process various business transactions in accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial accounting
- Periodic reconciliation and settlement of customer, supplier and bank accounts
- Investigate and resolve issues causing out of balance conditions to resolve settlement related issues with PSPs and banks in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
- Support in the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements according to IFRS and HGB (German GAAP) as well as The German Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG)
- Take part in further improvement and automation of existing processes
Requirements
Completed training as a certified accountant or comparable qualification
- 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in payment institutions or regulated environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, SAP 4HANA knowledge would be a plus
- Affinity for tech topics/processes
- Strong analytical skills and structured process thinking
- Independent, proactive way of working and very good communication skills
- Good command of English
