As a Merchandise Manager (m/f/d) you are responsible for the assortment performance during the season, always keeping an eye on all important key figures. The role involves managing inventory levels, analyzing sales performance, and ensuring the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand.
Responsibilities
Analysis of assortment performance and derivation of optimization measures based on relevant purchasing and procurement key figures (at supplier, product group, and article level)
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure demand balanced stock
- Manage stock replenishment, ensuring timely restocking of popular products and engage in negotiations with suppliers in order to manage slow sellers.
- Support pricing and merchandise planning teams by creating data-driven recommendations for assortment potential, pricing, and promotions
- Continuous improvement of procurement processes in cooperation with internal departments to enhance assortment efficiencies
Requirements
Completed business, economics, fashion merchandising or a comparable degree
- First professional experience in purchasing, merchandise management or logistics desirable, ideally within an online fashion company
- Very good MS Excel skills, experience with analytical tools such as SQL, Looker Studio, PowerBI or Tableau are a plus
- Strong analytical skills with strong problem-solving skills following structured approaches
- Eagerness to challenge the status quo and creativity in developing new solutions
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
- Fluency in English at a professional level, both written and verbal
