Business Controller (m/f/d) - Focus on Marketing

As the Marketing Controlling and Steering team, we are responsible for the fiscal year and monthly planning processes from a marketing perspective and support the marketing teams in managing and optimizing their performance by tracking, monitoring, reporting and analyzing marketing metrics. In doing so, we work hand in hand with the performance marketing teams.

As a Business Controller (m/f/d), you will actively participate in the creation of marketing planning in collaboration with cross-functional teams and independently create analyses and reports to optimize our marketing success. You take full responsibility for your projects and are supported by your team members.


  • Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the marketing division

  • Further development of internal marketing controlling & steering processes
  • Conducting efficiency and cost analyses for marketing measures and deriving corresponding recommendations for action using external and internal data sources
  • Participation in monthly and annual marketing planning and forecasting processes
  • Continuous development & automation of standard reports for management and marketing channels
  • Execution of ad-hoc analyses as well as collaboration in cross-team projects
  • Interface management between the Finance, Performance Marketing & Marketing Intelligence departments


  • Above-average degree in an analytically oriented field of study, e.g. economics

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in business controlling or related areas, preferably in an e-commerce environment
  • Very good and confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Google Big Query and Google Data Studio is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills as well as a strong understanding of numbers
  • Ability to grasp processes and analysis easily and communicate clearly
  • Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
