As our new Business Development Manager AY Commerce (m/f/d) you will manage various strategic and operational projects simultaneously within our core business around the ABOUT YOU brand. As the project leader you will have end-to-end responsibility for your own projects reporting the results directly to Vice Presidents and the Management Board.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of ABOUT YOU by addressing core business questions in the high-paced tech and ecommerce environment. Thereby, you will develop a deep understanding of all business aspects of ABOUT YOU and quickly grow a comprehensive strategic and operational skill set. Your work will include strategic growth projects (e.g., new business models, loyalty programs, …) as well as optimization projects to improve profitability (e.g., service costs, process automations, …)

Responsibilities

Lead and implement key strategic and operational projects in cross-functional settings
Act as a sparring partner for strategic tasks initiated by the Management Board
Develop new business fields in collaboration with operational teams within the ABOUT YOU core business
Conduct independent and complex analysis and research
Communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
Identify and analyze relevant KPIs and deduct concrete actions to develop our company

Requirements

Above average university degree at a top university
Several years of practical experience in strategy & business development, in a leading consultancy/financial service firm/industry, optionally in a start-up environment
Very good analytical skills and distinctive understanding of numbers
Strong personality to work in a fast-moving scale-up environment
Intrinsic motivation to actively drive impact in our business activities
Quick perception and structured working methods
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
