As part of the Finance Team, our Merchandise Accounting Team is responsible for balancing all business transactions in accordance with HGB and IFRS. In doing so, they create the basis for our internal and external reporting. They are also responsible for financial accounting, including accounts receivable and accounts payable management, as well as merchandise accounting. Together, they drive forward the digitalization and optimization of accounting processes.
As Junior Accountant – Merchandise (Accounts Payable) (m/f/d), you will be responsible for processing business transactions in accounts payable and financial accounting and actively support the further development of these processes. You will work closely with a young, dynamic team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes.
Responsibilities
Processing various accounts payable transactions
- Reviewing and posting incoming invoices in Coupa
- Managing and processing invoice mailboxes
- Handling and reconciling open items
- Collaborating with internal departments to ensure smooth invoice approvals
- Communicating with suppliers
- Supporting accounting process optimization projects
Requirements
Completed apprenticeship as an accountant, tax clerk, industrial clerk or a comparable qualification
- Independent, proactive way of working and strong communication skills
- Good English skills, both written and spoken
- Initial experience in accounting is desirable but not required
- Familiarity with IT systems such as NAV18, Dynamics F&O, and SAP S/4HANA is a plus
